A Tuesday evening social hour dedicated to the importance of EARNEST climbing anchors!

Join us for an engaging Tuesday evening social hour, where adventure and camaraderie come together! Bring your own dinner and beverage to fuel the excitement as we delve into the world of climbing anchors and essential knots. This is a course for the community; a $10 fee covers the venue and equipment costs.
Our climbing guides will be your companions throughout the evening, ready to answer questions and demonstrate the art of crafting secure climbing anchors. Discover the ‘why’ behind this essential skill as we walk you through the materials needed and explore various anchor types.
During the winter months, we’ll have ice on hand for those eager to practice ice anchors. While we can’t offer trad anchors just yet, we will cover the basic principles that apply to trad protection.

This is a perfect class for everyone – from complete beginners to experienced climbers to come and enjoy. It’s a Tuesday evening you won’t want to miss!
Limited to 10 participants; kids 12 and under attend for free along with their parents/guardians.
**This course is an indoor, informal classroom session and does not involve climbing.**

Cost: $10 per participant
Tuition Includes: equipment and space to practice, guides available to instruct and give feedback, light snacks.
Tuition Does Not Include: BYO dinner and beverages.
Prerequisites: none – all skill levels welcome to come and share.

When: 6-8:30 pm, MOST Tuesday Evenings from 9/26/2023 to 5/7/2024.
This is a laid-back, informal session meant to help educate and share knowledge. We will review anchor fundamentals, knots, and any other questions that may come up that we can answer.
This is also meant to create a space for participants to share their knowledge as well.

Into the Woods, LLC has a thorough risk assessment process in addition to extensive planning, training, policies and standards. We do this in order to meet the appropriate amount of risk for each group, activity, and setting, and mitigate risk to the largest extent possible during our courses, expeditions, trips, and all programs. However, while we are prepared, plan, and train, we are not able to guarantee that these wilderness sports and activities can be made 100% safe.
